Bo Skalin has owned the Giant Schnauzers since 1977, and Miniature Schnauzers since 1984. In 1985 the first litter was born under prefix Hassan Hills and over the next twenty years over 50 Champion Giant and Miniature Schnauzers were bred, gaining over 100 titles around the world. In recognition of successful breeding, Hassan Hillss kennel was awarded the Hamilton Plaque by the Swedish Kennel Club (SKK).
Bo has also bred and exhibited Dalmatians. Cairnterrier Today, together with his wife Natalia Skalin, he is breeding Miniature Schnauzers, Rough Collies, Shetland Sheepdogs and Chihuahua under the Skabona prefix.
In 1995, Bo gained his first judging license, specialising in Schnauzers and Pinschers. After many years of education, study and judging, he finally was confirmed as an All Breeds judge in 2011. He has judged extensively throughout the world, on all continents and at all level of shows. Testament to Bo’s reputation is that he has the honour of being invited to judge European Dog Shows in 2011, 2016, 2017,2018, 2021 and 2022, and World Dog Shows in 2009, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022.
He is the member of the board of the Swedish Kennel Club, the President of the Juges Committee and the President of Swedish Schnauzer-Pinscher Club.
